Well, as you said, they've both lost people close to them so they'd have someone to talk to about it whenever the mood struck. A close friendship, but I doubt it'd go further than that on Hewitt's part -- he's not into the whole 'relationship' thing yet. Although Jolene finds him attractive physically that's about all.
